King Tut Day

Evidently the forth of November is king Tut Day.
Here's a Gif for the occasion!

If you're going to make a time machine out of a car, do it with some style!

My time machine for the Back to the future day, Happy 21st of October 2015!

Akira Banner

I got to make a guest banner for the skwigly animation blog. This was another project that I turned around in the space of a couple of days. I really enjoyed playing around with the smoke, lightning and the light trails.

Superhero Day

This was something I produced a few months back for the a Superhero day event. It was fun to have an opportunity to use After Effects practically to produce something in a short space of time.

Who wants chicken?

Just playing around with something other than tutorials. this was an illustrator project composited together in after effects. I was a good opportunity to use all of the skills from my previous tutorials.

15 Million Viewers!

Another tutorial by Fraser Davidson. It turned out to be a really handy way of mapping out mouth shapes in a project. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to do simple lip sync on a tight deadline.

Paper cut out effects

This was another tutorial I found on Skillshare, this time it's a paper cut out tutorial by Jake Bartlett.

The task was to make a scene based on your dream afternoon, so I did a drive on the moors. I really like some of the effects and i'm looking forward to trying them out on some short projects.

Skillshare tutorials With Dr Eggman

I've come across a series of really nice tutorials on Skillshare by Fraser Davidson. I've been meaning to get into After Effects more and the format of this tutorial is really user friendly.

This is my second attempt at it,  I redrew the assets and played with layering up stuff more. This didn't take much longer than the original and I love how it turned out.

This was my first run at it. I drew all of the assets based on the tutorial instructions so this is the result you can expect the first time around, it took me a couple of hours from scratch.

Check out the tutorial here

Gif Tests

I've been playing around with photoshop as a 2D animation tool and I've really been enjoying the results I've been getting out of the little practice sessions I've been doing in my spare time. So much so I feel posting them will give me a good bench mark to improve on.
A turnaround I produced combing the 2 skill sets I was working with previously.

A run cycle as a warm up for figure work.
My first test with a geometric diamond to help me focus on 3D Geometry
